Customs, Flights and Baggage Formalities

Customs controls are not excessively strict. Occasionally, baggage may be checked. If you enter the country with an amount greater than or equivalent to USD OR EURO 5,000 in cash or USD OR EURO 10,000 in traveler's cheques, you must declare it to the airport authorities.

It is forbidden to export antiques (objects over 100 years old) and animal products of any kind. Please note that failure to depart due to an incorrect document will result in the total loss of the quota.

Although the baggage allowance for intercontinental flights is 20 kg per person, according to recent regulations, most domestic airlines on domestic routes in India require 15 kg per passenger. It is therefore necessary to take this into account in programs that include internal flights and limit your baggage to avoid surcharges applied locally starting from €3-4 per kg per leg.
Those arriving on an intercontinental flight and taking a connecting flight do not have to pay surcharges to reach their destination. It is only when the tour has started and if he has to take an internal flight for transfer, if he exceeds the limits, he has to pay extra !!!

On the intercontinental flight from Italy, it is advisable to carry in the hand luggage, the essentials to partially avoid the inconvenience caused by the possible loss of the luggage.
